Make Your Holiday Gift List

Make Your Holiday Gift List

Hey Friend,

Last week, we started our Holiday Planner Kit with a Holiday Brain Dump.

We got all those holiday thoughts, plans, and reminders out of our heads and onto paper.

Now we are ready for Step 2: Make Your Holiday Gift List.

This week is all about the people.

Who do you want to remember this holiday season?

And what do you already know about them that might help you find a great gift later?

We are NOT choosing gifts yet.

We are just gathering information.

Let's get started.

Grab Your Printable

If you downloaded my Holiday Gift Recipient List, grab it now.

Don't have a printer?

That's okay!

Use a notebook, your Notes app, a spreadsheet, or whatever works best for you.

You can follow the same steps.

The important thing is to keep everything in one place.

Start With Family

The first page is just for family.

Start adding names.

Your partner.

Your kids.

Parents.

Siblings.

Grandparents.

Nieces and nephews.

Aunts and uncles.

Cousins.

Anyone in your family you may want to give something to this holiday season.

Don't think about the gift yet.

Just make sure you don't forget anyone.

Add What You Know About Them

Next to each name, you'll see a place for notes.

This is where you can write down anything that might help you later.

What do they like?

What are their hobbies?

What's their favorite color?

Favorite food or treat?

Favorite store or restaurant?

Do you know their clothing or shoe size?

Do they collect anything?

Is there something they have been talking about lately?

You don't have to fill in everything.

Just write down what you already know.

Add Any Gift Ideas You Already Have

There is also a column for gift ideas.

Maybe you already know exactly what you want to give someone.

Write it down!

Maybe you only have a small idea.

Write that down too.

You're not making a final decision.

We're just saving the idea so we don't forget it.

Now Think Beyond Family

Once you've finished your family list, move through the other pages.

Think about your friends.

Neighbors

Coworkers or colleagues.

Teachers and coaches.

Service providers.

And anyone else you want to remember.

This is where we can sometimes forget people.

So take your time.

Think about the people you see throughout the year.

Who is hosting an event you are invited to?

Who helps you?

Who makes your life a little easier?

Who would you simply like to do something nice for this holiday season?

Add them to your list.

Start Listening for Gift Clues

Your list doesn't have to be finished today.

In fact, keep it handy.

People give us gift clues all the time.

"I love that."

"I've always wanted to try that."

"I need a new one."

"I've been wanting to read that book."

"I love that restaurant."

"Mine just broke."

When you hear something that could help you later, write it down in the notes section.

You don't have to turn every clue into a gift.

We're simply collecting ideas.

That's It for Step 2

This week, your job is simple:

Figure out who you want to remember this holiday season.

Then add anything you already know about them that could help you choose a gift later.

And if you already have a gift idea, write it down.

That's it.

No shopping required.

No need to find the perfect gift yet.

We're taking this one step at a time.

Next week, we'll move on to Step 3: Love Languages.

Because before we start choosing gifts, I want us to think about something important.

What actually makes each person feel loved and appreciated?

The answer might help us think about gifts in a completely different way.

Because sometimes the best gift isn't something you can wrap. ❤️

Wishing you health, wealth & most of all... happiness!

Love,
